This is a True Book aimed at upper elementary students. The "age group" that Amazon shows must be a mistake. This series is aimed at upper elementary. I just looked at the True Book for "Food Allergies" and it says ages 9-12 which seems consistent with the text presented in the book.



Amazon should make the correction on its web page.



The food pyramids shown from different countries is pretty cool though.

I bought the book to use in my Kindergarten class. It uses the new food pyramid model and gives good information about each food group plus the vitamins/minerals that are provided. Good pictures. Lots of information but a little too wordy for 5 & 6 year olds--(the book goes into anemia, diabetes,etc.) so I picked out the basic, introductory info and let the kids just see the pictures.
